Pootles Blog Hop May 2021

Hello, we are back again with the Annual Catalogue May 2021 blog hop

My project is combining something pretty, useful and recycling cardboard from Stampin` Up! packaging.
This is inspired by Verity Pursglove Stampin`with Inkybutterfly on YouTube

My Hanging Calendar

You will need 2 pieces of thick cardboard measuring 4 x 3½ inches
2 pieces of ¼ x 3½ inch same cardboard
1 piece of Basic White card stock 3 x 3¾ inches
1 piece of Basic White card stock 4 x 3½ inches
1 Piece of paper 5½ x 4 inches scored at ¾ on both ends of the 5½ side and score at ½ on the 4 inch only.
I used Hand-Penned Memories and more card on mine
On the reverse side mark from the scorelines ½ inch on all for sides this is to create a frame
Cut along these lines to take the middle out
Stick some acetate on the inside to make a window

Stick the ¼ x 3½ inch pieces to both sides of the thick cardboard; this will allow the calendar to slide in and out easy.
Add the frame to the thick card; you may have to fold a little more with the score marks made as it is now double the thickness with the added edges, make sure the ½ inch score mark is it at the bottom when gluing it together as this forms the pocket base.

With the Basic White card stock 3 x 3¾ inches Stamp the Month required using A Day to Remember Stamp set.
Add ribbon to the back of this card to make a small loop, this will help with changing the cards.

On the Basic White card stock 4 x 3½ inches Stamp your design and sentiment, I used the Flowers of Friendship Bundle and coloured the image in with Stampin` Write Markers.  Using the punch I coloured and decorated the calendar frame with additional flowers and gems.

To finish it off I added the Ribbon to the back of the cards so it can be hung up.

Well I hope you like my project, now pop over the the next blog and see what inspires you.

Enjoy
