Pootles Blog Hop May 2021

Hello, we are back again with the Annual Catalogue May 2021 blog hop

My project is combining something pretty, useful and recycling cardboard from Stampin` Up! packaging.
This is inspired by Verity Pursglove Stampin`with Inkybutterfly on YouTube

My Hanging Calendar

You will need 2 pieces of thick cardboard measuring 4 x 3½ inches
2 pieces of ¼ x 3½ inch same cardboard
1 piece of Basic White card stock 3 x 3¾ inches
1 piece of Basic White card stock 4 x 3½ inches
1 Piece of paper 5½ x 4 inches scored at ¾ on both ends of the 5½ side and score at ½ on the 4 inch only.
I used Hand-Penned Memories and more card on mine
On the reverse side mark from the scorelines ½ inch on all for sides this is to create a frame
Cut along these lines to take the middle out
Stick some acetate on the inside to make a window

Stick the ¼ x 3½ inch pieces to both sides of the thick cardboard; this will allow the calendar to slide in and out easy.
Add the frame to the thick card; you may have to fold a little more with the score marks made as it is now double the thickness with the added edges, make sure the ½ inch score mark is it at the bottom when gluing it together as this forms the pocket base.

With the Basic White card stock 3 x 3¾ inches Stamp the Month required using A Day to Remember Stamp set.
Add ribbon to the back of this card to make a small loop, this will help with changing the cards.

On the Basic White card stock 4 x 3½ inches Stamp your design and sentiment, I used the Flowers of Friendship Bundle and coloured the image in with Stampin` Write Markers.  Using the punch I coloured and decorated the calendar frame with additional flowers and gems.

To finish it off I added the Ribbon to the back of the cards so it can be hung up.

Well I hope you like my project, now pop over the the next blog and see what inspires you.

Stamp Around UK - Anything but a Card

 Hello Fellow Crafters

Today is about creating something that is not a card using Stampin` Up products

I decided I needed an organiser for my cards, envelopes, birthday book and stamps.

If you want to see the birthday book check out my Jan 2020 Blog

This was inspired by Samantha Thorpe -  Curious Moose Crafts

This is made up of a base, Two 2 inch boxes and inside Two 1 inch boxes

The front boxes are for cards and envelopes on the left and I also have my birthday book in it too

The right boxes are for the postage stamps and the pen holder, I also have a place for my In Colour 2021-2023 book marks.

I have used Thick Basic White card stock and Basic black which goes really well with the Specialty Designer Series Paper Simply Elegant as shown, great as a scrap buster too
I would suggest doing a mock up as card thicknesses vary and you may need to adjust the sizing to fit properly

Pootlers Blog Hop Jan-Jun 2021

Hello and welcome to my blog, today we are showcasing products in the new January-June Mini 2021 catalogue

My chosen suite is the Fine Art Floral Suite I absolutely love the papers such detail, the Stamps are gorgeous with the 2 step stamps and make great backgrounds.
And my new favorite go to Stamps and Dies are the Many Messages, so quick and easy to make loads of sentiments all in one go

First off I have used the Designer Series Paper for a background on my Mini calendars, this idea was inspired by Dagmar Mosler a fellow Pootler.

I have used the Many Messages in Flirty Flamingo card

This is an easel card which is simple to make and you can adapt this to all different cards.

The next card is with the Stamp from the Fine Art Floral Suite - Art Gallery
I have created a back ground stamped Seaside Spray Ink for the base flower and Misty Moonlight Ink for the contrast over the top.

Again I have used the Many Messages in Flirty Flamingo card, and used two ribbons tied together underneath the message
Metallic Mesh Ribbon & Misty Moonlight

My final card is using the same stamp set Stamped Petal Pink as the main colour and Rococo Rose as the contrast
The small flowers are in Bumblebee with the Many Messages in Old Olive
The words die is Merry Merlot

I hope you have enjoyed my projects and I have given you some inspiration to have a go, all projects will be available to see on my YouTube Channel soon

Enjoy the rest of the hop
